Wandering: A Staged Reading

About the Play

Wandering traces the interwoven journeys of Fei, a young Chinese-American man, and his grandmother, Nainai, across two eras of Shanghai. Through parallel timelines, Fei’s return in 2019 and Nainai’s arrival as a child in 1940, the play explores family, political upheaval, and the search for belonging. As the past and present collide, Wandering invites us to reflect on identity, generational memory, and what it means to find our place in the world.

This intimate reading event offers a rare glimpse into a work-in-progress and a chance to engage with the creative process.
